Atramedes has been deafened and defeated.
With the first five bosses of BWD six feet under, it's time to kill a dragon.
Boss #6 - Nefarian better watch out.
(Who keeps a dragon that's hypersensitive to sound in a room full of huge gongs? I mean really...)
-
One less boss to deal with.
Bear tank worships the RNG gods! And the avoidance ones, too. BRB DODGING! Double what?
With Chimaeron dead, our attention turns to Atramedes.
-
In our progress through Cataclysm, we've now downed Maloriak and the Omnotron Defense System.
Thanks very much to the raiders who made it happen! Soon we'll work on Chimaeron and Atramedes...perhaps they'll bite the dust next week.

Greetings
Upon the expression of interest by several members, we shall now begin exploring the options and logistics associated with facilitating a gathering of the MPs in NYC in early January, 2012.
Please use this post and the forums to discuss such an event, your interest level, and any other related notes or questions.
Why NYC?
It appears that a large fraction of our membership and officer corps are within a few hours' drive of NYC. It is also a major tourism and transportation hub, meaning fares to NYC will probably be cheaper than, say, Raleigh. Why January 2012?
The event is six months removed for planning purposes. Also, we have to beat the buzzer on the world ending -- hopefully early January is soon enough. Please feel free to ask questions.

"Citizens of Dalaran! Raise your eyes to the skies and observe! Today our world's destruction has been averted in defiance of our very makers! Algalon the Observer, herald of the titans, has been defeated by our brave comrades in the depths of the titan city of Ulduar. Algalon was sent here to judge the fate of our world. He found a planet whose races had deviated from the titans' blueprints. A planet where not everything had gone according to plan. Cold logic deemed our world not worth saving. Cold logic, however does not account for the power of free will. It's up to each of us to prove this is a world worth saving. That our lives... our lives are worth living."

Hello again, everyone! So, some of you may have noticed some new things about our Vent server. I'm gonna try to explain what each of these rooms are here and what to use them for.
First off, we have The Lounge. Like the note says in the Ventrilo window, its used for whatever. Feel free to use this room while sitting in WoW doing nothing in particular that requires you to be in another Vent (like raiding with another group). This is for silliness and fun bonding with the rest of our guild members. We like having our little family we have going here.
Raid 1 is pretty self explanatory. Here is our raiding vent room. Every week we're running a different raid. It really helps if we can communicate to each other tactics, or calling out heals and such.
Now we have Heroic Dungeon 1. Same as the Raid 1 room, only this is used for heroic dungeons. Especially early on (item level 329+) when you're starting heroics, it can be really helpful to have someone explaining each fight to you verbally, rather than sitting in the chat box. Here you can also ask questions mid fight without worrying about missing a cast. It's all for the good of the group.
Next, we come to the Officer Chat room. This room is reserved for anyone with officer access in the guild. This comes with the ranks of Mystic Prophet (GM, obviously), Mystic Seers, and Seers. These people are your leading team. So, just like Officer Chat in WoW itself, Officer Chat here is passworded so that only officers can get in there. It's there to help us communicate about how we can help you.
Now we come to some strange rooms, the Minecrafting and the Hamburger rooms.
We're all gamers here, and I'm sure many of you have heard of this new fangled game called Minecraft. In the next coming weeks, I'm going to be trying to set up a Minecraft server for any other Mystic Prophets that would like to play with us outside of WoW. For those of you who haven't heard about this, take a look at www.minecraft.net and see if you like the concept of the game. It's a fun sandbox game with zombies and spiders and exploding things. It could be fun! I'll let everyone know, as soon as I get this server up and running, how to connect to the server and what we can do!
Hamburger, the Aendrith-cave. Because Aendrith is being such a nice guy and is paying for this vent server out of his pocket, this is his personal room used for things outside of gaming altogether, hence the password.
In the future, we may be looking to expand a few of these rooms, such as the raiding and heroic dungeon rooms. By expand, I mean add additional rooms of the same thing so that we can run more than one heroic at the same time and still have a dedicated room. Another future feature we may implement are General Rooms. These general rooms will probably be used if you wanna chat with your friends, whether they're in or out of WoW, and just wanted to get away from the random guild chat going on in the lounge.
So, if you guys have any other suggestions or ideas, feel free to let your officers know! We're always willing to listen and try to help the best we can.
~Your GM, Ayres

Congratulations to everyone who was with us on our first Guild ICC 10 run last night! For those of you who were not able to come with us, you can at least share our happiness with this picture!

Good work everyone on getting this far. Soon, his helmet will be ours!

Welcome, welcome, to the new location of our website. For those of you who have been with us for a long time, either since the beginning, or for a year or more, you may have known that we used to have a website hosted at www.mysticprophets.com before, but this was sorta lackluster. Mind you, that's because most of us have real lives. For example I'm still in school, taking classes and working a part-time job on the side, and Aendrith works full time. So needless to say, we didn't have all that much time to help everyone out in game as well as coding our website from scratch.
So in order to make things a little easier, we decided to set up shop here on WoWStead. Take a tour of the place, figure out how everything works, and you'll be able to see how many options are already open to you. There are these announcement messages that your leadership will be keeping you updated on what's going on, as well as how those events went after the fact! There's also a set of forums (albeit, still need to be organized) that everyone can communicate on outside of WoW itself. I strongly urge you to become involved. This guild isn't just mine as the Guild Master, its yours. The most important part of Mystic Prophets are the individuals that we are comprised of. We need input from you in order to make your experiences better.
In closing, we want you to remember one thing about Mystic Prophets. We are a family. Help one another, be awesome to one another. We're all playing the game for the same purpose, to have fun. So enjoy, everyone.
